Nestled on the coastline of the provence of Valencia, Guardamar del Segura is a lovely family resort on the Costa Blanca, which still retains it's Spanish charm. With over 11km of blue flag, sandy beaches there is plently of room to stretch out in the sun and bathe in the clear blue seas.

Tourist development has been slow and respectful of the environment. The recent completion of a new sports marina (above) has added a new attraction to this select tourist area.

Only 30 kilometres from alicante Airport, Guardamar is a great base on the Costa Blanca, both as a holiday destination and for exploring the surrounding areas. Benidorm is less than an hour away, as is the famous golf resort, La Manga. However, there are many good courses in and around the Valencia region.

Steeped in history, the area has many places of historic interest, from Cartegena in the South to Elche, Murcia and Orhuela inland from Guardamar. In modern times, the province of Valencia is on the Grand Prix circuit and has seen the Americas Cup recently pass though the area.

The Costa Blanca is also renowned for its excellent quisine and Guardmar has good restaurants in abundance and catering to all tastes and pockets and there is lots to do and see. Each month there will be a fiesta somewhere in the area. The Spanish love to celebrate life and to enjoy themselves! Come and join them!
